The Marina at Highland Lake The Marina at Highland Lake Winsted, CT Winsted, CT Part-time Full-time Part-time Full-time $25 - $30 an hour $25 - $30 an hour The Marina at Highland Lake is currently looking for a Business Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the marina.
The ideal candidate will be a dependable, hard-working professional who has excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities will include office and retail administration, boat rental management, bookkeeping, and supervising staff.
This position has varying hours throughout the year.
The hours are up to 40 hours in the summer and reduced to 20 hours in the winter.
Must work Saturdays and summer holidays.

Duties &
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Interact with customers via phone, email, text, and in person.
Process and handle all store sales, rentals, reservations, and boat service requests.
Coordinate boat rentals (check-in and check-out process, preparing, cleaning).
Create and maintain a pleasant work environment.
Ensure high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, scheduling.
Retail Management/Bookkeeping:
Open and close store, including balancing cash.
Manage database of customers, service and storage documentation.
Prepare and process invoices in QuickBooks.
Maintain 1099 vendor files.
Handle accounting transactions and records related to A/R and A/P.
Oversee office and store equipment, inventory, and property appearance.
Assist with marketing efforts including the design of materials, social media, and website.
Supervision of Staff:
Create employees schedules and prepare payroll.
Supervise the staff while prioritizing workflow.
Provide training for new staff.
Assist dock staff with duties (fueling, cleaning rental boats, cleaning facilities) Skills, Knowledge, and other Requirements:
Must have clean, neat, professional, positive appearance and attitude.

year supervision experience.
3
years customer service and experience with retail.
Accounting/bookkeeping experience.
Strong computer & software ability (including Word, Excel, and QuickBooks).
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Marketing and social media experience.
Basic website maintenance experience.
Boating experience/knowledge preferred but not required.
Ability to reach, lift, and stand for long periods of time.
Energetic self-starter, who can work independently with minimal supervision.
Interviews will begin in mid-February and position will begin in March Job Types:
